About

Thomas was raised on a farm in the heart of Europe, in Switzerland. At age 16, he began a three-year apprenticeship as a Journeyman Landscape Gardener with focus on Landscape Design, Construction and Maintenance, and graduated in 1989.
Being a strong believer in continuous education, and after moving to Canada in 1995, Thomas was owner and operator of an Award Winning Landscape Design, Construction and Maintenance company for over a decade.

To deepen his expertise, Thomas achieved Certification as;
  • Horticultural Technician
  • Organic Master Gardener 
  • Permaculture Designer & Teacher 
  • Credentials for Rainwater Harvesting in Canada and USA
  • Registered Onsite Wastewater Practitioner (ROWP) for B.C. and Alberta, Canada
  • Studied Compost- and Humus management systems, including Quality control using Dr. Ehrenfried Pfeiffer’s Circular Chromatography method, trained by Angelika Luebke & Urs Hildebrand of URS Landmanagement - United Research for Soil in Austria
  • BioDynamic Agriculture Workshops with focus on preparation making taught by Pierre & Vincent Masson of BioDynamie Services in France
  • Soil Life Consultant through Dr. Elaine Ingham of Soil Foodweb Inc. and the Environment Celebration Institute in the USA

​In 2015 Thomas started DynamicWholeScapes.
The business concept includes; Sustainable Edible and Beneficial Landscapes with incorporation of Permaculture Principles and Design methods, Rainwater Harvesting for outdoor and indoor use, Education and Workshops and last but not least, Organic Soil Solutions along with Biodynamic Farming and Gardening practices.

Thomas is passionate about; 
​​Continuous Education, Sustainable Living, Understanding and Working with all the Members of the Soil Foodweb, Preserving and Nurturing Soil Fertility, Urban Farming and Homesteading, Animal Husbandry, Beekeeping, Biodynamic Farming and Gardening Methods, offering Education and Workshops, and he is a student of Anthroposophy.
